What does the Bible say about divorce?
*Divorce is not God's Ideal, 1 man 1 woman forever; Genesis Chapters1, 2, 3; Leave, Cleave, Weave, but because of sin, divorce is His concession. Deuteronomy 24
*Divorce is not commanded, God desires permanenance but because of sin, divorce is permitted. Matthew 19:1
*Divorce is not a first option, it is a last resort. 1 Corinthians 7:10-16
God is compassionate and wants us to be compassionate. Is there hope for those who have broken God's rules? YES there is hope. 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins. |
