Easter's Hope |
Easter's Hope was the title of Sunday's message. Because God loves us, because Christ died for us, because death has been defeated by the resurrection we have a future with hope. Please this week share that hope with someone in need. |

Subject: Prayer requests for India trip Date: Sat, 15 Apr 2006 20:25:16
I have felt the need over the last week to update the prayer requests for the trip since there are more definite plans made. Therefore, the prayer requests are more specific. I want again to express my deepest gratitude to each of you for your support. It means more to me than you know, especially now. I have known for some time that this is what God has called me to do. My sweet husband has been very supportive even when I have my doubts. I in no way have fooled myself that this would be an easy task. But in some ways it has been harder than I could have imagined. Some of you may have received a similar letter if you were in my Precepts class. And some of you may get this twice because you are on my 2 lists (Bible Fellowship & Prayer Team). Let me start by asking you to pray for each member of the team...John, Kevin, Eddie, Rhonda, Clay, John & Jane, and myself. We are each individuals with distinct gifts that will be utilized on this trip. Without one of us, something will be lacking from the united team we will be. Your prayers are crucial even critical! Each of us has experience some sort of attack in the last week or two. For me these have come increasing closer to one another and seem to be getting more intense. Earlier today I was coming home from a seminar in Ft. Smith. I was involved in an accident that flipped my SUV. Praise God, that I am uninjured and the person who hit me was not injured. In fact, you cannot physically tell anything happened. Emotionally is another story. I have questioned my decision to go more in the last two days. I guess I have had a lack of faith in some areas. All of this to say, we are fighting a battle against the enemy. I have known most of my life of his power yet sometimes I have given him power over me which he did not have. I have also underestimated his power to influence things in my life. Not anymore! Satan has an agenda in direct conflict with what we have been called to do. We need your prayer for our spiritual and health and strength in our battle. Join us as we pray Ephesians 6:10-20. Satan has a mighty stronghold in the area we are going and he will not relinquish it easily or without a fight. But we have someone on our side he will never have! Pray for us all to have God's peace of our call when things are hard and not what we had planned and remember who fights for us! Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield: my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Pray for our physical health and endurance. The temperature is around 100 degrees in the day. We will do some hiking into the villages. Pray for our protection for the diseases and illnesses that are commonplace there so that we may be effective in our ministry. Pray for our physical safety in the cities in India and in the Kuvi villages. Pray we adjust to not only the change in diet but also we can function fully on less food. We have a grueling travel schedule. Pray for travel mercies and travel safety. Pray we will get the rest we need. Pray for the families that are supporting us while we are away. Pray for God to place a hedge of protection around them. Pray they will have God's peace with them while we are apart. Pray for us traveling who have loved ones who are ill or having other medical problems. Pray for the Kuvi people: *That they would be receptive to the love of Jesus. *That they would see the "light" in other believers and us. *That they would be receptive to our prayerwalking and storytelling. *That they would be released from the bondage of Hindu and tribal religions. *That they would receive Jesus as their LORD and Savior.
We know that Christ is going before us and He will go with us. Pray we will be sensitive to the Spirit and know when to be bold and when to be gentle. Pray our words will be that of those who sent us and not our own.
Thank you again for your prayer support. God has blessed me beyond measure with an outpouring of support both prayerfully and financially as well as words of encouragement from all of you! I know this is no small task on your part to pray for you for us daily while we are in India but we truly need your intercession on our behalf. THANK YOU! You all mean more to me than you will ever know!
Obediently following Christ, Kelli
P.S. Please feel free to pass this own to other prayer warriors. Some of my prayer team did not have email so feel free to pass it on. (especially in my family and Precept class) |

Jacob Update |
Good Evening,With great Thanksgiving to our Lord, we have an update after Jacob's surgery. Jacob was in surgery for a very long 9 hours. The surgeon was able to do alot more in this surgery than he anticipated doing in one time. This was very good news. They told us that the surgery went very smoothly, considering the complexity of it. We got to see him in the ICU unit shortly after surgery and he looked better then we expected considering what all he had been through. They still have him sedated to keep him from moving at all. This will remain for some time because he has so many tubes and lines hooked up to him and coming out of him. We don't want him to pull anything out or move anything around. He still has a long road ahead of him. The next few days will be especially critical, then a long recovery too. Please continue to pray with us for God's protecting hand as His will is done. Thanks for all of your prayers, food, visits, and everthing- |
